I’m a Senior Product/UX/UI Designer living in Canada. I have 8 years design experience under various umbrellas, including eCommerce and SaaS products to AAA Games.
I use data to drive my decisions and create intuitive human-centred interfaces that people love. I geek out on research and iterative problem solving to produce inclusive products. I am passionate about people, I’m very social and love collaborating with users and stakeholders.
Behind the designer
My name is Amber Waters and I grew up in British Columbia, Canada. I’ve always been drawn to creative expression, whether it was performing and teaching dance or capturing stories through photography & writing at my fine arts school.
My path into design wasn’t linear, I started in HR at a software company, where I discovered UX and never looked back. I realized what drives me is a blend of critical thinking, creativity, and connecting with people.
When I’m not designing, I’m likely on the move 💃🏻 whether it’s dancing, practicing yoga, working in hospitality, or exploring new corners of the world. I’m driven to create experiences that feel seamless, human, and genuinely helpful.
I also have two cats that will make a video appearance every once in awhile 🐱🐱
